About me

Hello

Hello. I am Faiza and I go by she/her pronouns.  I’m a UKCP accredited psychotherapist, and a BPS accredited and HCPC registered Chartered Occupational Psychologist.

My journey into this field has been deeply shaped by my own experiences growing up in London. As a person of colour in a predominantly white world, I navigated the complexities of holding onto my cultural roots while learning to succeed and fulfil the sacrifices my family made. This experience sparked my curiosity about the human condition—how our stories shape us, and how, with or without support, they influence our growth and trajectories in life.

My early career as a behaviour therapist working with autistic children further deepened my interest in the complexities of human experience. However, I soon realised that I wasn’t drawn to behaviourism, but to understanding the intricate, complex and systemic factors that influence us. This led me to become an organisational psychologist, specialising in creating inclusive cultures and helping leaders and teams thrive. For over a decade, I worked within organizations, transforming systems and coaching executives, but I found myself missing the depth and relational connection that comes from working therapeutically.

Around 14 years ago, I returned to developing my clinical practice, combining my extensive background in organisational change with a passion for personal transformation. Since then, alongside running an organisational consultancy and serving as an executive coach, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—from refugees, women from disadvantaged backgrounds to leadership professionals and CEOs. I also run a weekly group in a forensic psychiatric hospital, supporting male offenders experiencing profound psychological distress.

Clients find me warm, open, genuine as well as challenging and honest. In Gestalt, we use the concept of the "safe emergency" which is rooted in the idea that deep healing often requires experimentation and risk-taking, but this must be done within a supportive environment. I work collaboratively with clients to create this containing space between us so that it might become possible to find new more fulfilling ways of being, relating and living.

I firmly believe in the potential for everyone to heal. I know that many communities have limited access to healing spaces, and it is my lifelong commitment to ensuring my approach is inclusive, recognizing the broader societal structures that impact mental health, particularly for marginalised communities.

I am deeply inspired by the resilience of the human spirit and the capacity for growth, healing, and transformation. My work is rooted in this belief, and I strive to create spaces where individuals can feel seen, heard, and supported on their unique journeys toward healing and fulfilment.

Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul”
